Business Process Management

Intalio|BPM lets business analysts and IT people collaborate on the design, deployment, and ongoing management of any business processes, be they small or large, simple or complex, transactional or workflow oriented.

Native BPMN 2.0 Architecture

Intalio|BPM is architected from the ground up to take advantage of the BPMN 2.0 specification (Learn More). BPMN 2.0 is not only used for the modeling of business processes, but also for their execution, thereby eradicating the semantic gap that existed between BPMN and BPEL until now. For this purpose, Intalio|BPM is built around a next-generation process engine capable of executing BPMN 2.0 processes natively, without having to resort to any code translation.

Extensible Human Task Manager

In order to support complex workflow processes and Adaptive Case Management (ACM — Learn More) scenarios, Intalio|BPM includes a fully extensible Human Task Manager service compliant with the WS-HumanTask industry standard (Learn More). This service implements the end-to-end life cycle for human tasks, and can be easily modified to support custom steps and transitions, while taking full advantage of a powerful built-in Business Rules Engine (BRE).

Powered by Intalio|PaaS

Intalio|BPM is powered by Intalio|PaaS (Platform as a Service), and as such benefits from all it's deployment options, both on premises (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, VirtualBox) and on demand (Amazon EC2, Windows Azure). Also, Intalio|BPM leverages other SaaS applications powered by Intalio|PaaS in order to support the most advanced use cases:

  • Data objects associated to business processes can be managed by Intalio|CRM.
  • Documents attached to business processes can be stored into Intalio|DMS.
  • Collaboration spaces related to business processes can be created using Intalio|Social Portal.
  • Process dashboards can be developed using the spreadsheet component of Intalio|Web Office.
