The technology is now available under the Eclipse Public License (EPL) and is part of the SOA Tools Platform (STP) project.

This contribution follows Intalio's donation of its EMF model comparator to the Eclipse Foundation earlier this year. All three components form the foundation for Intalio|BPMS, the first BPM solution to support a Zero-Code development model.

Bull Belgium and Intalio Partner to Manage One Million Student Records

Demand Driven Development Enables Syndication of Product Development

PALO ALTO, Calif. - September 13, 2007 - Intalio, Inc., The Open Source BPMS Company, today announced the signing of its twelfth project to be developed through its innovative Demand Driven Development (D3) process. The project will deliver a new Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) framework which will be integrated into the next release of Intalio|BPMS.

Intalio's Demand Driven Development process enables customers and partners to syndicate funding for the development of additional features and components of the Intalio open source BPM suite. Projects are submitted by members of the Intalio community, scoped by Intalio's team of software architects, and implemented by a selected group of offshore development partners. To date, eleven projects have been completed through the D3 process, including a graphical XML Schema editor built for Eclipse, multi-channel workflow notifications, customizable workflow alert escalation, an advanced JDBC connector, and a new connector for the SAP family of enterprise applications.

The development of the new BAM framework will be funded by AMSI, Con Edison, the State of Pennsylvania, Synergetics, and WellCare; and is the largest D3 project undertaken to date, with several man-years worth of development being funded by a group of five customers and partners spread across three continents and coming from five different vertical industries.

"We need to monitor processes and key performance indicators for the management of schools. These processes can be large and complex, especially when adhering to a set of standards and critical success criteria," said Ziad El Maamoun, director of excellence and compliance at AMSI, Dubai. The document, authored by Janelle B. Hill and Nikos Drakos, is titled "Intalio Boosts BPMS Usage With Open-Source-Like License".
