Cloud ApplianceThe Intalio|Cloud Appliance puts in a single rack all the hardware and software required to build a true enterprise-class cloud computing platform. Intalio certifies hardware from multiple vendors, including Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, and Oracle. Cloud in a BoxWhile Intalio|Cloud can be deployed on virtually any kind of hardware (including a regular laptop computer), an enterprise-grade multi-tenant cloud requires carefully-selected hardware components in order to deliver the appropriate levels of scalability and fault tolerance. Intalio is working with multiple vendors such as Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, and Oracle in order to certify reference architectures, called Intalio|Cloud Appliances. Up and Down ScalabilityThe Intalio|Cloud Appliance must be able to serve a very large number of accounts (hundreds of thousands), for both small and large numbers of users (from a few to a few millions), in a multi-tenant environment, and in a perfectly elastic manner. This is achieved by using blade servers that offer extremely high memory density (up to 144GB per blade), Solid State Drives (SSD) for all database storage, and the InfiniBand networking technology (Learn More). Enterprise-Grade Fault ToleranceThe Intalio|Cloud Appliance must provide the highest availability in order to support mission-critical applications and processes. This is achieved by using top-of-the-line blade enclosures, Solid State Drives used in RAID 10 mode for the complete software stack and for all database storage, real-time VM replication, and redundant network adapters and networking switches.
