Elastic ComputeIntalio|Elastic Compute provides an elastically scalable and fault-tolerant compute infrastructure for private cloud deployment. It supports any operating system, and is plug-compatible with the Amazon EC2 API, while supporting a broader range of Quality of Service requirements. Elastically ScalableThe CPU capacity and memory allocated to individual applications deployed on Intalio|Elastic Compute can be modified on the fly through live virtual machine migration. For example, applications can use as little as 50MB of memory, or as much as 1TB (when using Nehalem-EX servers). Furthermore, applications that support clustering, including Intalio|PaaS and all Intalio|SaaS applications can scale across multiple servers dynamically, making the infrastructure perfectly elastic. Fault TolerantBy leveraging VMware Fault Tolerance (Learn More), any application running on Intalio|Elastic Cloud can be be deployed with high availability, without having to make any modifications to the application itself. Additionally, all applications deployed on top of Intalio|PaaS benefit from clustering for both load balancing and failover, with any hypervisor, including not only VMware vSphere, but also Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and Xen. Compatible with Amazon EC2Any application deployed onto Intalio|Elastic Compute can be deployed on Amazon EC2 (Learn More) for load balancing or disaster recovery purposes. Furthermore, Intalio|Cloud Controller can be used to manage the life cycle of applications deployed on EC2, including packaging, configuration, deployment, provisioning, and migration. Intalio|Labs is also working on providing support for Windows Azure (released timeframe to be announced).
