Intalio|Foundation
Making the world a better place, one cloud at a time.
 |
Over the years, Intalio has made numerous contributions to the developers community, through the creation of several major Open Source projects, and the donation of code bases worth millions of dollars. After ten years, we feel that time has come for us to support other communities as well, and we are creating the Intalio|Foundation to support this effort. As a first project, the Intalio|Foundation will make our business applications available free of charge to non-profit organizations, with a focus on education, medical research, and disaster relief.

Foundation Endowment
The Foundation's initial endowment will be one free user account for every ten accounts of Intalio|Cloud sold in 2010, with an initial grant of 1,000 seats worth over $1,000,000. If your organization qualifies for such a grant, or you know an organization that does, please send your application to foundation@intalio.com.

Switched On is a UK-based charity, headed up by four trustees and a secretary who together have backgrounds in IT, banking, law and overseas development work. They are supported by a growing team of IT experts with specialisations in hardware and software, who themselves work in leading-edge, tech companies. Switched On has numerous associations with organisations working "on the ground" in local development projects.
"Intalio|BPM will handle the administration of a sponsorship scheme for very impoverished and marginalised persons, whereby donors in the UK and elsewhere will give regularly to support an education. As a bonus for themselves and the beneficiaries, they are kept in touch by personal exchanges handled through computers and the Internet (similar to email). For quality assurance, anonymity and child protection reasons, the messages must be handled by intermediate "correspondence administrators" with a couple of layers of management for scalable quality control. There must also be provisioning processes such as allowing sponsors to select beneficiaries to occupy their sponsored places. Intalio|BPM is a good solution for such a process-driven system involving both people and IT systems."
