We just connected with IT Frontier to announce the Intalio Japanese Community. Details of the announcement can be found on our press release. But I wanted to take the opportunity to address this event in the broader context of the BPM market in Japan right now.
SOA is becoming very popular in Japan as a way to integrate existing legacy applications with new systems. Without BPM, the main ROI for SOA is reduced IT costs. With BPM, projects not only get a boost from reduced IT costs, but also increase productivity. BPM becomes the killer application for companies to link the ROI for SOA projects not just to better technolog,y but to improved business processes. Shaving three weeks off of a business process such as receiving payments will get noticed far more than, for example, setting up a currency conversion service.
Recently we have been seeing a huge increase in customers in the Japanese market. Creating the Intalio Japanese Community became a no brainer, and we’re thrilled to be working with IT Frontier on this project.
The next training session in Tokyo is scheduled for March 4-5, and is filling up fast, so sign up now if you are interested.
