Some Salesforce.com customers have recently asked us whether we would be interested to provide a hosted version of Intalio|BPMS that could be used as an AppExchange application. We did our homework, and came up with the conclusion that we could package Intalio|BPMS as a 3TERA AppLogic virtual appliance, deploy it on 3TERA’s grid, and provide seamless integration with AppExchange. If you’re a Salesforce.com customer and would like to develop complex workflow processes, or integrate Salesforce.com with on-premise applications such as SAP (more on our SAP connector here), let us know.

    Ismael,

This post is REALLY GREAT in providing the solution to our ongoing project that potentially requires BPMS capabilities to seamlessly integrate industry vertical applications that are being developed now. So far we planned to have BPMS capabilities deployed at the customer’s premise and to access our application through SFDC AppExchange. But with your plan, our project plan may well be far more simplified. I would really appreciate if Intalio could proceed with the plan ahead.

    Regards

    Ismael,

I found a very interesting article by Dion Hinchicliffe that addresses the ever-increasing cost of deployment and operation for the SaaS model. He picked up 3TERA as an example. Looks like you have identified this trend well.
