Intalio|Social Portal lets anyone create ad-hoc collaboration spaces in just one click of the mouse. These social portals come pre-loaded with team calendars, shared document folders, blogs, forums, wikis, and real-time chat, enabling the development of contextual applications on the fly.

Modular OSGi Architecture

Intalio|Social Portal is built with a very modular architecture designed on top of the standard OSGi framework (Learn More). This architecture enables the development of new components and services independently from each other. Intalio|DMS leverages the Equinox OSGi container (Learn More) developed by The Eclipse Foundation, and the Intalio|Jetty application server.

Extensive Portlet Collection

Intalio|Social Portal comes pre-loaded with over 60 portlets including for content management, collaboration, and reporting. Additionally, pre-built portlets can be used to embed code in multiple languages, including Java, PHP, Ruby, and X#. Furthermore, existing JSR-168 compliant portlets can be migrated from existing portal frameworks, and new portlets can be developed from scratch using the same specification.

Advanced Integration Capabilities

Intalio|Social Portal provides certified connectors for a variety of third-party systems and applications, including directory servers (Active Directory, LDAP), database servers (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), mail servers (Exchange, Notes, any SMTP server), and document management systems (Documentum, FileNet, SharePoint). Additional systems and applications can also be integrated using the embedded Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
