Intalio|Web Office lets users create rich documents, presentations, and spreadsheets using any Web browser, while preserving full compatibility with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Documents can also embed live data served by other Intalio applications or any Web services.

Built for Cloud Collaboration

Unlike traditional office productivity suites that rely on email for document sharing, Intalio|Web Office was designed from the ground up to take advantage of the Cloud for collaboration. As a result, all documents created with Intalio|Web Office are managed by Intalio|DMS and can be shared with co-workers, customers, and partners over the Web. Intalio|Web Office is built using AJAX (Learn More), hence works with any modern Web browser, without requiring any plug-in or Flash.

Optimized for the Real Time Enterprise

Most documents created in a business environment usually blend static content and dynamic data that must be kept up to date. For this reason, documents developed with Intalio|Web Office can embed live data served by other Intalio applications or any Web services. This allows users to send invoices to customers in a single click of the mouse, or create dynamic presentations embedding data views and charts served by remote databases in real time.

Designed for Microsoft Office Users

Most online productivity applications (also referred to as Office 2.0 applications) usually feature brand new user interfaces that, while attractive in some respect, make it harder for existing Microsoft Office users to transition to an online working environment. In order to address this challenge, Intalio|Web Office deliberately mimics Microsoft Office's look and feel, thereby significantly reducing the learning curve for new users.

Intalio|Web Office is currently under development at Intalio|Labs. It will be part of the Spring'11 release.
