Since its formation in 1999, Intalio's team has been at the forefront of enterprise computing. Its members have worked to define standards today in use by most BPM products, lead major Open Source projects including Jetty, and developed key technologies in the Cloud Computing space.
Ismael Ghalimi, Chief Executive Officer, co-founder
Ismael Ghalimi is a passionate entrepreneur and fervent industry observer, founder and CEO of Intalio, creator of BPMI.org, and producer of the Office 2.0 Conference. Ismael sits on the Boards of Directors of BuzzGain, Egnyte, and Tonido and is an advisor for 3TERA (acquired by CA), EchoSign, EveryTrail, Intellimaker, Move & Play, Muchobene, and Presdo. Ismael holds a Masters degree from Ecole des Mines de Nancy, and actually spent six weeks as a coal miner in Europe's deepest mine. Ismael is a professional scuba diver and instrument rated private pilot. He lives with his wife and three children in Palo Alto, CA, while spending a week a month in Singapore and Tokyo.
Mark Tolliver, Chairman of the Board
Mark Tolliver brings more than 30 years of experience in the high-tech industry to his position as Chairman of Intalio. Mark is also CEO of Palamida, a San Francisco-based software company focused on software intellectual property management and compliance. Prior to Palamida, Tolliver was Executive Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, and Chief Strategy Officer for Sun Microsystems. In that role he was responsible for corporate marketing, product and business strategy, M&A, industry marketing and ISV programs. Before joining Sun, Mark was Vice President of Marketing at MasPar Computer Corp. and spent 16 years at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he drove the acquisition of Apollo Computer by HP. Mark holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois.
Marc Friend, Chief Financial Officer
Marc Friend is an experienced software investor, executive and entrepreneur. Prior to Intalio, Marc has held operational roles in Product Management at Microsoft, and Marketing and Finance roles in numerous start-ups. Marc was a founding investor in Acta Technology (acquired by Business Objects) and helped lead industry-defining companies through investment and Board responsibilities at 3dfx Interactive, Check Point Software, NetDynamics, and Salesforce.com. A 17-year veteran of the venture industry, Marc has served in General Partner roles at USVP and Summit Partners and as Venture Partner at Partech International and Saints Capital. Marc holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Pascal Belloncle, Chief Information Officer, co-founder
Pascal co-founded Intalio back in 1999, and has held many positions covering engineering, testing, training, consulting, IT, and support. This gives him a very unique perspective on the industry at large, and more specifically on BPMS. He has a deep understanding of what people need, what people want, as well as what is possible to build for them. Prior to joining Intalio, Pascal was Director of Engineering at MetaCreations. He holds a Masters of Computer Science from ENSEEIHT.
Jacques-Alexandre Gerber, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Currently the EVP of Worldwide Sales, Jacques-Alexandre Gerber has spent the last 8 years getting his hands into almost every aspect of BPM. Beyond his experience as an industry expert and his prior work as Vice President of Business Development, he has gone deep into the code, and led several engineering teams to develop the workflow components of Intalio's platform. As a Client Services Manager he built programs for training, support, pre-sales and consulting services. As OEM Director, he managed all of Intalio's major accounts and projects, including BAE Systems, GD, and TeliaSonera, as well as a major OEM agreement with Informatica. Jacques was also instrumental in transitioning Intalio from a proprietary software company to a commercial open source vendor, taking ownership of creating and implementing a repeatable and scalable sales process that led to profitability within 2 years. Before coming to Intalio, Jacques served as the Linguistic Attache to the French Cultural Center in Cairo where he developed and led education programs for Egyptian students learning French.
Adam Lieber, General Manager, Intalio|Works
Adam Lieber is the General Manager of Intalio|Works. Previously, he was the CEO of Webtide, which Intalio acquired. Adam was also a co-founder of Gluecode Software, one of the early open source software companies and delivered solutions to numerous industries and served as Gluecode's representative on OASIS. After Gluecode's acquisition by IBM, Adam ran worldwide sales for open source middleware for IBM. Prior to Gluecode, Adam was at the IT-focused venture capital fund Mission Ventures. Adam received his A.B. in Economics concentration, with Computer Science from Princeton University.
Arnaud Blandin, Vice President of Alliances, APAC Managing Director
Arnaud Blandin acts as Vice President of Alliances for Intalio, where he is responsible for managing Intalio's systems integrator and technology provider partners. Arnaud also acts as Managing Director for APAC, following the successful launch of Intalio's offices in Singapore. Prior to his move to Singapore, Arnaud actively participated in the definition of Intalio's open source business model, by introducing Intalio|BPMS in the EMEA region. In the past 3 years, he established a solid network of partners, which resulted in securing over 200 customers, including several Global 2000 companies. In his early years at Intalio, Arnaud used his industry expertise to manage the first BPM implementations based on the Intalio offering, both in Europe and in the US. He participated in the definition of support, training, and consulting programs, as well as sales campaigns. Arnaud holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from ENSEEIHT.
Shao Fang, Vice President of Product Development
Shao Fang is responsible for the development of all Intalio's products. Shao brings 15 years of experience in enterprise software development and management, concentrating in the areas of open source, business process management systems, portal and composite application frameworks, and workflow. Prior to Intalio Shao held leadership roles at Inventec Services, SpikeSource, SeeBeyond, Asera, and SAP. Shao received BS in Engineering and Applied Science from California Institute of Technology and MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
